Very friendly staff.
Far from the center of town for someone on foot.

Budget friendly
Noisy at night--dogs barking, people yelling. Vomit on the stairs going up to rooms that was not cleaned up--we had to do it ourselves. Coffee and cups not replenished. Room key did not work the 3rd night.

We had a prepaid reservation. We arrived at 10:30 pm - having been delayed in route. The office was closed and no one answered the emergency number. We called Booked.net who informed us that the microscopic type on the confirmation stated that check-in ended at 10 pm. They agreed to request a refund but we have heard nothing to date. The hotel had our cell number but made no effort to contact us before or after. So in addition to paying Sun God, we had to pay full price at a hotel down the street just to get a bed. Really Poor Form Sun God!

The location was good but my first room (#118) smelled like smoke...so Elliot moved me to a room in the back (#138). This room was filthy but it was late by the time I moved again so I just stayed. I let them know about the dirty conditions when I checked out the next day but they were not concerned. Also, as I was moving some of my recently purchased pottery was broken in transit! My experience with Sun God Lodge was not a pleasant one and I feel I should be compensated in some way. Thank you.
Both of my rooms were dirty I.E. crushed chips in the carpet, holes in the sheets and bedspread...dirty bathroom floor... Also the employee who checked me out wasn't the least bit concerned about my issues.

It was nicely decorated. Comfortable beds. Great water pressure. Friendly staff. Our dog was welcome.
Our upstairs neighbor had 2 dogs, the little one was off leash and always around. The very big dog was tethered so it would block our way to our door. We were in Taos, NM.

comfortable, quiet, clean room; large grassy courtyard with picnic tables; good price-quality relationship; evoked feeling of a 1950's U.S. motel
drink machine not serviced; no vending machine for snacks; needed car to get to grocery, restaurants, shops; located a bit out of main part of Taos

We did like the price: value for money and the lawn for the rooms with several seats.
Male staff could be more friendly and give more information.

My room was away from the highway which was good. It had everything I needed including a small table near the window where I could paint (watercolor). The staff was friendly and helpful. The rate was good.
They hadn't received the booking (I think they were new at it and hadn't checked for it), but luckily had a room free for me.

Attractive exterior and interior, nice location, friendly staff, laundry facilities, free coffee and donuts in lobby. Close to a number of shops and restaurants. Attractive courtyard with hot tub.
Wi-fi signal was very weak in rooms, amenities a bit scarce -- no hair dryer or ironing board. The bed was a bit too soft.
